BROADWAS CROQUET CLUB
The Club was formed in 1998 as part of the
Broadwas Sports Association, which also plays Cricket and Bowls. There of
four full size lawns which are open for play every day of the year, weather
permitting. Club Golf croquet is played on Tuesday afternoons and
Association croquet on Wednesday afternoons and Sunday mornings.
The Croquet section has 42 members with
differing levels of playing ability. The Club competes in the Federations
Intermediate and B League competitions.
The Club plays on the Village Cricket Ground at
Stoney Ley, Broadwas. Broadwas is on the A44 and approaching from Worcester,
turn right up a narrow lane approximately 100 yards past the Village School,
signposted Village Hall and Wants Green. The ground is 600 yards up this
lane on the left hand side. If travelling on the A44 towards Worcester, go
approximately 300 yards past The Royal Oak Pub and turn left into Stoney Ley.
