PALACE (WELLS) CROQUET CLUB
The club plays in the grounds of the Bishop's Palace at Wells, which is accessed off the market place in the centre of the city. There are limited facilities for parking within the Palace grounds but there is a Pay and Display nearby.
The club has two courts, one near full size and one half size. the courts are available for play from April to October during the hours that the Palace grounds are open to the public, which are 10:30am-6pm Tuesday-Friday and 2-6pm on Sundays. New members are always welcome and coaching can be arranged for beginners, for whom club mallets are available for use. Club days are held on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Golf croquet is played on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.
The club members prefer a more social game but started to play in the Federation leagues in 2000. The club plays Association Croquet and Golf Croquet.
